Meet Maggie Theriot, DNP, FNP-C

Maggie Theriot is a board-certified family nurse practitioner who cares for women at Signature Health in Metairie, Louisiana, alongside Dr. Robin Bone. Her visits start with your whole story and end with a plan you understand, whether you're sorting out an irregular cycle, hormone changes, fertility questions, or a feeling that something is off.

Seeing How the Pieces Connect

Hormones, menstrual cycles, fertility, metabolic health, nutrition, sleep and stress all affect one another. Treat them one at a time and it's easy to miss what ties them together.

So Maggie looks at all of it. One visit might cover your labs, what you've already tried, how you're sleeping and what a normal week looks like for you, since any of those can change the right next step. Between visits she follows up, adjusts the plan when your goals shift, and stays easy to reach.

Why Maggie Chose a Different Kind of Practice

Earlier in her career, Maggie kept running into the same wall. Women came in with questions about their cycles, hormones, fertility, weight, or energy, and the appointment ended before anyone had time to untangle them. Most of those concerns can't be understood in a short visit.

She wanted time to listen, ask better questions, and explain the "why" behind what a patient was feeling. She wanted women to walk out with a clear plan, not just a fix for whichever symptom came up first. Concierge care at Signature Health gives her that time.

Easy to talk to, by every account

Evidence First, With Room for Real Life

Maggie's care is built on evidence and established medical guidelines. She also knows a prescription isn't always the whole answer.

Depending on what's going on, your plan might include medication. It might also include changes to nutrition, movement, sleep or stress, and supplements when they make sense. "The 'perfect' wellness plan isn't very helpful," she says, "if it doesn't actually fit into someone's day-to-day life." Her plans are meant to be practical enough that you'll keep following them.

What a Visit With Maggie Feels Like

Less rushed, and more like a conversation. There's room to talk about the reason you booked and the other things that might be feeding into how you feel. Patients describe her as approachable, thorough and easy to talk to, the kind of provider you can ask the question you've been hesitant to bring up anywhere else.

She also explains her reasoning. You won't leave with a lab order or a diagnosis and no idea why. You'll know what she's looking for, why it matters and what happens next.

"Listen first, understand the whole picture, and make a plan together."

The Moments That Make This Work Matter

Some of the comments that stay with Maggie are the simplest ones. "No one has ever explained this to me before." "I finally feel like someone listened."

They usually come from women who spent months, sometimes years, living with irregular cycles, fertility worries, weight changes or hormonal symptoms without anyone showing them how it all fit together. Her favorite part of the job is the moment it clicks and a patient says, "That makes so much sense."

Training & life outside the office

A Full Life and a Realistic Plan

Maggie trained at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center New Orleans and is board-certified as a family nurse practitioner by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board (AANPCB). She was drawn to women's health because it means caring for women through so many seasons of life, and because so many women's questions don't fit neatly into one category.

Away from work, she's usually with family and friends: traveling, cooking, working on a project around the house, or finding any excuse to have people over. It keeps her honest about what patients are juggling. Careers, kids, aging parents, a partner, a calendar with no room in it. She'd rather give you a plan that works on a busy Tuesday than one that only looks good on paper.
